When all else fails, light a flame. When falling, fading, loving, leaving, light a flame. Find a candle, matches or lighter, flint or just sticks, find it and find it fast. Hold on to that burning, run your hands through the flame. It's real and it's here. It's burning your finger, it's melting the wax. Scorching the paper or burning the past.  
 
This flame, it's your lifeline. It's your hold on the world. It's your blackened skin, the smell of burnt hair, the light in the dark, the warmth in the cold.

Feelings of a Human HeartThese walls will make me slave away, no matter what I do. These walls hold in sheer smarts and wit and yet still, they stand true. These walls will make me envy them for never giving in. I want to be like a wall, always knowing what's going on and knowing what has been. Just a quick little update from 3an.

My all~time favourite author is hereby Ayn Rand.

She's written classics such as The Fountainhead (which my new sig is from) and Anthem. She also wrote Atlas Shrugged which I'm working on right now.

Her ideas are the smartest I've ever heard. Close second? Chuck Palahnuik. Author of Fight Club and Choke- both great books. Still, Ayn Rand tops. I mean, she wrote in the 40's. But her ideals and beliefs and so beyond most of modern day culture. It gives sense to the world by proving how nonsensical everything really is.

And it's made me proud to have an ego. When I get home in a week, if I remember, I'll post the quote that gives the previous sentance sense.
